Our first Decaf! For those that Love Coffee for more than it’s Caffeine. (Or those that like a cup before bed, like me.)
This coffee started it’s journey in the Guji zone of Ethiopia. It is a mixture of washed and natural coffees, and is decaffeinated by the Swiss Water Process which makes your coffee 99.9% caffeine free.
The flavor comes across as a balanced medium roast with lots of nuance, making a tasty cup or a nicely balanced and lively espresso with plenty of body. You can expect a lot of Sweetness and a bit of Florality accompanying flavor notes like Dried Apricot, Red Apple, Marzipan, and Chocolate. I was surprised to find such a variety of flavors as the cup cooled, making the drinking experience a welcome change from drinking coffee solely for the caffeine.
